We like it - it is what we expected. Not fancy. Cooking on is not complicated, but is nothing special as well. Worse part is washing it - it is not small and does not fit nicely in the sink, so cleaning is hard work. I am not disappointed - I was looking for the cooking surface.

Got this George Foreman grill as a gift. Promptly grilled sausages last night, bacon this morning, a panini this afternoon and hamburgers this evening!

It's a super versatile appliance - heats up rapidly, cooks food evenly and swiftly. I like how it comes with 2 drip trays to catch all the fat you won't be eating! Also the two spatulas are helpful. Will be using this constantly! Can't wait to try salmon, veggies, etc. Only drawback - short cord - but understand that could be a safety feature. Love this grill!

This is the one I use. It's better than the new ones with removable plates. Even though a bit more combersome to clean, it has a more even heat. And, after a couple times using it, you will know where to set the timer, so you don't have to keep opening it to see if items are done cooking. I would recommend this one to anyone.

I acquired an All-Clad Slow Cooker about 6 months ago and was pleased enough the couple of times I used it. About two weeks after that I got the Zojirushi Electric Skillet. Having used it extensively over the past half year, I think it should be called something other than an electric skillet. It is so versatile.

That All-Clad Slow Cooker I mentioned has sat unused all this time. I turn up the heat on my Zoji, brown the beef, deglaze and add the other ingredients, then I turn down the heat and use it to slow cook while I am at work. I come home to a wonderful meal, and as others have said in their reviews... when it comes time for clean-up it is so easy. First off, I only had to use the Zoji for all of the cooking. The Zoji almost comes clean by just thinking it. The dish and utensils take way more time than the Zoji. This is the most amazing non-stick surface I have seen, and I have Calphalon and other top-brand non-stick cookware. It just wipes clean with a paper towel, and I mean it looks like "brand-new clean" even after six months of use. Brand new clean, still slick to the touch as if you have to "wash before first use".

The temparture adjustment gives you very fine control over the heat. And it goes from just warming, through slow cooking, up to sizzling hot frying.

The lightweight bowl lifts out while the heavy heating plate diffuses for great cooking and temparture control.

One of two countertop cooking appliances I do not ever want to be without. (The other is a Flavorwave (by Thane) halogen convection oven, that is likewise incredibly versatile). In a small apartment where space is a premium, these two will serve you well for just about every cooking need. Even if you have a huge kitchen, this appliance will save you time and energy while also saving you on energy costs. Beside all that, it is just plain fun to use it. Keep it visible and think of it first when cooking anything. Chances are it will do the job quickly and efficiently with super easy clean-up.

I highly recommend the Zojirushi EP-EVC25 Electric Skillet.

"Love this skillet" 2008-10-26

This skillet is such a big improvement over traditional electric skillets.

1) Size is perfect for a small family. Deep sides mean you can cook a variety of things.

2) Super easy clean-up, because the skillet separates from the base. You can submerge the skillet part in water if you need too, and it's easy to move around in your sink (as opposed to the large, awkard skillets that you have to try to clean--base and all--without screwing up the electrics.)

3) I've cooked a variety of meals in this--braised short ribs, chili, omelets, etc. Heat is very even, though you need to watch things because even the simmer setting can cook a bit harder than you might want (I would not consider this a replacement for a slow cooker).

4) The base stays VERY cool while you are cooking, and the handles on the skillet are designed so that you can grasp them without hotpads.

5) So far, non-stick surface is holding up very well. My last Presto skillet had the surface start flaking off on us--and I did not abuse it in any way. Had to toss it out after only a year. This surface seems designed to take a beating, as they say you can use any type of utensil in it (though I mainly use my non-stick spatulas & spoons).

Update:

In February 2009 (5 months after purchasing) I noticed the nonstick finish on the bottom of the pot started developing "blisters". First I noticed one small spot that looked like it had developed a bubble and some of the finish peeled off of it. After using it a couple more times, I saw other small areas where the finish appeared to be blistering.

I contacted Zojirushi and they responded very quickly to my e-mail. They offered to replace the pan if I paid $10 for shipping. All I had to do was provide a copy of my receipt. I did not have to send anything back to them, and the process was very quick and painless. Since then, I have had no problems and my original rating stands. Zojirushi also gets 5 stars for customer service.

After doing some online research and finding that using an electric skillet is more energy efficient than an electric stove I decided to buy one. This looked like the best deal anywhere, yes it is pricey, but, I feel worth the price.

I've never used an electric skillet before so am having fun getting to know it. I love that I can remove the pan for cleaning, and this cleans incredibly fast!

As another reviewer remarked, the size is practical for a one or two person household. It depends on what you want to cook, it's plenty big enough to make scrambled eggs or a side dish for a large family, but would be too small for a big pot of chili for more than four. As for pancakes, if you keep them small, 5" - 6" across, that should work.

This is not a bad little sandwich maker. The pockets are narrow so the fillings do squeeze out the side. It is easy to clean. Unfortunately, it is not very long-lasting. One of the plastic light covers came off about 3 days after I purchased it. The other one popped off about one month later. I have had it for about 5 months now and the cord apparently has shorted out. I have to wiggle it for five minutes before I can get the sandwich maker to turn on. Since my kids are hooked on the grilled cheese sandwiches I make in it, I will be heading out to buy another sandwich maker. I just don't think it will be this brand again.

This thing makes the best cheese toasties ever! I just spray both sides with non-stick cooking spray after it warms up. Then, I put the bread on, cheese, then another slice of bread. About 4-5 minutes later, I have a tasty cheese toasty!

Cleaning this thing isn't too bad. You just have to wait for it to cool off. I usually let it set, unplugged, for at least an hour because I clean it. A dish scrub brush works MUCH better than a dish cloth.

Storage is pretty simple. Close it, then what I do is wrap the cord around the handle. You can stand it up, which is a good feature it you have limited kitchen storage space.

I got this a few months ago after wanting one for years. I thought it was going to be another usless thing i would have to store somewhere in my kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised at how helpful i have found it!

It works best on *full* sandwhiches so that there is good contact between the upper and lower plates. The unit automatically cuts and seals each of the 2 full sandwhiches into 2 pieces. (if you turn the sandwhich when its almost done you can make 4 pieces). I tend to use regular to thick style slices of bread. You can cook with tortilla, pitas etc but the result tends to be the best with bread.

The best sandwiches i have made were a combo of meat and cheese with butter or margarine spread on the outside. I hear mayo is a good thing to spread on the outside as well... To reduce the fat, i just give it a extra large coating of non-stick spray altho the results arent quite as yummy.

There are some recipes that come with the unit and some alternative uses to sandwiches.. muffin mix, cake mix... pancake mix..etc. I have found that pancake batter works great altho i use at least twice as much as they suggest to get the best result. I havent had all that much luck with the cake mix/muffin mix thing. I find the outside is pretty stiff (almost a crust feeling) and can have a burned scent or flavor. I have also tried scrambled eggs but they seem a bit rubbery to me (like microwaved eggs) altho i am thinking as a mixed omelet with cheese this might be better.

Food cooks pretty quickly and clean up is easy despite the fact that you cant remove the grill plates. I have found i use this much more than i thought. I would reccomend buying a sandwich maker cookbook with it... it would be much more helpful than just the recipe insert that comes with unit.

It sits in an attractive red heavy-duty decorative base, which always ends up with melted areas from the grill's heat, which the manufacturer could solve by putting a metal band around the top inner rim. Other than that it is a wonderful product. Heats evenly,cook just about anything and is quick and easy to clean.

Received as a gift and had the exact same problem as others on here... When I initially turned it on, the rollers seemed to work fine, but about 15 minutes later, I heard a loud clicking in the kitchen, and the hot dogs were no longer spinning, as the piece that connects from the motor, to the metal piece that turns the rollers was repeatedly slipping off, so I had hotdogs that were burnt on one side and cold on the other. Tried for about an hour to fix, but the piece just kept slipping off. Very poorly made.

I recently purchased this product from a local drug store. I had the same luck as a previous reviewer: The rod on the roller assembly fell short of fitting into the motor gear. I returned it to the store and went through other ones till I found one that did fit.

Also, I purchased mine on sale at a local national chain drug store for $25. I would have my doubts about any online store that wants as much as it's listed here.

I found this product to be very nice looking and well constructed. And, it worked as advertised. My mistake was using very fat hotdogs for the first run. Careful placement was necessary to get them to rotate without rubbing together. Regular hotdogs would have been a wiser choice. Between initial warmup and actual cook time, it does take a while, but it is meant to cook slowly while turning the dogs. The machine is completely silent when operating.

Clean up is very easy with the roller assembly and drip pan removable. but one must wait for the machine to cool down first to prevent getting burned.

If hot dog-stand doggies are your thing, you'll love this machine.

The previous poster might have purchased a damaged display, or a customer returned unit to have incurred the problems described. My experience was completely different.

I purchased this hot dog roller, and had to return it immediately. The pieces were very cheap, and the rod that inserts in to the geared hole to allow the motor to spin the rollers was not close enough, so the rollers would not spin when turned on. After fooling around with the appliance for 30 minutes while my kids anxiously awaited a cooked hot dog, I finally gave up, reboxed it and cooked them in a pan on the stove!

() === <-- That rod needed to insert in to that hole for the machine to work. The rod when the roller tray is laid down, is about 1/8 of an inch outside that hole and would not insert unless I modified the machine with pliers and a screwdriver. I would recommend a more expensive machine!

This is a good little machine for making basic hot sandwiches, quickly and easily. The 650 watt burners heat up quickly. The twin pockets can hold two sandwiches and easily make nice toasty meals.

The only complaint is that the burner pockets are not deep enough so larger pieces of bread or overstuffed sandwiches make a bit of a mess.

Though with the non stick burners, clean up is easy.

It makes sandwiches just fine. I'm not sure why everyone's complaining about cleaning it up - it's all teflon so all you have to do is a quick wipe to clean it up. It does ooze but get over it. I guess I buy small bread because it fits my bread slices just fine.. I think the idea is that if you use "normal" bigger slices it kind of crimps the edges that hang outside of the square area. Anyway, I will say that the "dummy lights" on the top are not very well thought out. Red light and green light. Which is which? They're both on most of the time. I just ignore them and it works fine.

Thumbs up on this sandwich maker. I've had this for years and I love the small size and convenience of making grilled cheese sandwiches in a pinch. Be sure to butter the outside pieces of bread that lay directly against the grill as to keep them from burning -- just a light spread will do. My kids love to even put apple pie filling inside pieces of bread for a quick treat! Mmmmmm! The clean up time is nothing too -- just take a piece of towel paper and wipe it clean! Great to give as a gift which is how I received mine!

Bought this from another web site for 12.99 and it works great. Makes nice crisp sandwiches and very little mess to clean up. All I do is wipe it clean with a rag when I'm done. It takes about 4 minutes to warm up and about 4-5 minutes to cook. We really like this item.

I got two - one for me and a friend, and I can confidently say that we are quite happy with this product.
I agree with a few previous reviews - both the pluses and the minuses

1.) its too cute, its too small and the cheeze does melt and flows a bit. But because I use some oil on the trays before I make the sandwich, cleaning isnt that difficult afterward.
2.) Don't overstuff it. They may not seal properly.

Altogether, its a pretty decent not-too-complicated product. And yes, the sandwiches are awesome.

Much easier than starting the big grill and swatting flies. I find it works better when you turn the food over half way through cooking, as it browns nicer. I have found it especially good for fatty meats such as bacon, and for food which absorbs oil like eggplant and hot dogs. The recipe book is full of great ideas for quick meals as well! This would be a fantastic Christmas gift!

I bought the George Foreman Indoor/Outdoor BBQ grill and I love it! It's especially great for chicken breasts and fish fillets. Steaks would be better over charcoal, but they're still very good. The drip cup isn't that effective because the grill isn't on a tilt the way the indoor GF grills are. Come winter, I'll bring the grill in and use it without the pedestal. I haven't used the MP3 jack yet, but the speaker looks plenty big and well protected from the elements. Delivery was quick. Highly recommend!

Ordered my grill this past week-end from J.C. Penney. reg.price listed as 99.99, on sale for 29.99. I absolutely love it. Burgers have nice grill marks, and very little fat left in them. Nice size area, and pretty easy to clean, if you do it while its still hot. I squirt dish detergent onto both the top and bottom, and go ahead and clean it. Not that big a deal in my opinion. I think that this grill is a great buy! Also, stores nicely on my kitchen shelf. Again, love it, love it.

I chose this particular one because it was large so you could cook a very good amount of food. However, I have used it only once in about a year of owning it. I think it is a nice unit...i find the bun warmer part useful as it uses otherwise dissipated energy ( escaped heat)..

The angle of compression is adjustable..

The only con is that the grills are not removable...hence cleaning is not practicle...

Also, a general suggestion: before you buy anything like this..check your local second hand stores because they often carry similar stuff ( never used ) for a much better price.. I was regretted when I saw the exact same grill in its original box for less than 10$

I owned the smaller George Foreman "Lean Mean Fat Reducing Machine" for years and really enjoyed it because it quickly grilled hamburgers, steaks, and chicken strips. And it was always very easy to operate. I decided to upgrade to this new grill because it beautifully matches my kitchen (black.) I also wanted this grill because I really needed a slightly larger grill to "knock out the fat." My parents have two George Foreman grills and they offered to give me their extra-large jumbo grill, but that one is way too big for me. So, instead I opted to get this grill which is medium in size, between the small champ size and jumbo size. The value and quality are both exceptional; I have seen similar grills with less features go for much more. I also like the recipe booklet that it comes with because the recipes look very good and simple to make. And I found the little section on the back of the grill convenient because it can hold the cord in place. For everyone that enjoys hot buns, I recommend putting them in your toaster oven for a few minutes to get them toasty. I did not purchase this grill for that reason, so it really doesn't bother me if the bun toaster doesn't work too well; however when I recently used the bun warmer it worked very well for me. It's also a prefect grill to make baby back ribs in. I just cut the rack in half, boil the ribs first, spray the grill with lots of pam and grill them for about 10 minutes (turning them over after the first five), during the last few minutes I baste each side with my favorite barbecue sauce. The only thing I didn't like is that I had a little trouble stowing it away because it is somewhat bulky. Overall, it's a wonderful addition to my kitchen!

Nice grill... what you'd expect from a GF grill I suppose. I cook burgers, fish, and everything else on this... chicken comes out a bit dry, however. The one thing this grill doesn't do well is warm the buns/bread... the top warmer is not hot enough to do that... Otherwise a decent buy.....

We recently upgraded to this larger grill from the little George Foreman GR10ABWI Champ Grill with Bun Warmer, Indigo, so this is a good improvement for us! Now we can cook heftier sliced of meat or make 2 grilled cheese sandwiches at once, so the increase in surface area is nice. For some reason I also like the flatter contemporary design of this grill. I haven't even attempted to use the bun warmer on this George Foreman, because just like everyone else, the lids have broken off our previously owned GF grills. Also, if the grease tray gets bumped a little you'll have hot grease on your counter tops. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this grill since it's quick & easy to use and clean, but we mostly just cook chicken, burgers, & sandwiches on it.

We've had this for about a year. It looks like metal but the housing is plastic. The cord holder broke off first. Now the knob that controls the griddle has broken off and the temperature can no longer be controlled. It really doesn't heat up all the way any more. The "grill" worked for panini but not very well for meat (burgers and such). Really not worth the money.

"Works OK for Small Spaces" 2009-09-15

The Continental Electric Grill is small and convenient for use in a small kitchen. This is a very basic electric frying pan that works well in a limited capacity.

I like that it has fairly deep side walls, so cooking eggs works well (omelets come out nice), and it is the perfect size for making grilled cheese sandwiches. The lid is OK for use while cooking and also helps to keep food warm for serving. I also like that the power cord is about 2.5' long, which is a fair length for countertop cooking.

There are few basic things that keep this from being really good. The first is that the non-stick coating is VERY thin, so it really needs to be hand washed shortly after using it. The heating control is far from precise and needs to be watched very closely to avoid burning the food until you become familiar with it. Lastly, the handle is detachable and the pan can be used to serve the food, but this should be attempted with utmost caution when hot.

This worked as expected, but my expectations were fairly low. I would buy it again.

Poorly designed. Too small to do anything useful. Uneven heating. Awkward heat controls. Very cheaply made. I have never given a product one star before. If I could have given it zero stars, I would have. I imagine, someone out there, somewhere, would find this electric fry pan useful... But can't imagine who that someone would be. IMHO, this is not worth the powder to blow it to smithereens. Buy only if you like flushing money down the toilet. :-)

Cool looking but I would not recommend this to anyone. The heating element is not nearly as powerful as it needs to be. I tried to make waffles, preheated the thing on max, and it just wouldn't cook them. After about 15-20mins of cooking I gave up. It produced a soggy, pale, spongy waffle.

Every time I used this grill I want to throw it out the window. It grills fine but cleaning it can drive someone insane (and I'm not a neat freak). It does not clean with the wipe of a damp cloth; you really have use a sponge with soap. Little bits of food gets wedged between the bottom grill plate and its housing. The model w/the removable grill may be an enhancement. The only reason I haven't thrown it out is b/c is does grill rather well (and fast) and I've been able to clean well enough. But the crud builds with each use and it's just a matter of time before I have to unfortunately add it to a landfill somewhere.

This is so easy to use. Just plus it in and wait a few min. then throw on steaks, burgers, chicken or whatever. Put a little seasonng on the food and close the lid.

It is very easy to clean- just wipe with a papertowel, food tastes great.

The first one of these I had (exact same model) lasted more than 5 years before the top section quit heating. The bottom still worked but it took longer to cook. This is big enough to cook 3 or 4 good size steaks for the family.

The idea with this is you heat up the grill in the microwave. Put some meat on it when the surface gets hot, then put the unit with meat inside back in the microwave to finish cooking.

I was dissatisfied with the food that came out. It was never seared or had grill marks. Maybe it just doesn't generate adequate heat, but I thought the meats would emerge bland - sort of like how it might have tasted if you simply microwaved it on a plate.

The channels to capture juices are also too small. So juices spill all over the counter and on your hands when you pull it out of the oven (ouch).

The only thing this did semi-decently was sausages and hot dogs.

Just not at all worth it. It now gathers dust in my kitchen.

Very short review....I had purchased it in Jan 08 It does a great job, just as advertised on TV. It has a great none stick that works as advertised. But this thing just caught on fire, and burnt the heck out of my microwave. I called the Micro Grill people and apparently it was no surprise to them that it happened. As a matter of fact, the supervisor, Brad, told me it burnt, before I told him. He said that I would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. I will update when and if they do If nothing is done by Micro Grill, the review stands as is.

I got it first for the fourth of July, and I'm glad I did. It cooked my burgers really well and fast and it came out just perfect. Took about maybe 9 minutes to be done? Cleaning is a breeze. As soon as it cools off use a hot damp soapy cloth and wipe it off. Then wring it out and use a non-soapy damp cloth and finish wiping. Besides the fourth of July I still keep it on my kitchen counter because we use it so often. Whether for grilling franks, or cooking chicken patties, beef patties,sausages etc. and it gets rid of most of the grease. I even put my bread inside for a little while just to get it toasted for my sandwich and it comes out great! I recommend it for anyone who wants to spend less time in the kitchen and still wants a great meal!

I have owned a silverstone grill for years and love it, so much so that I ordered one for a gift recently. It is definitely useful for making more than just lefse! One word of caution: make sure that the specifications/description matches what you want, not just going by the picture. The Amazon site was confusing in that it actually had 3 pictures of the Bethany grills, but Bethany only makes 2 grills. When the grill arrived, we realized that we had ordered the wrong one. We had wanted the non-stick version, but had actually accidently ordered the aluminum "satin" one instead. (My attempt at making lefse on a Bethany aluminum grill resulted in my lefse sticking to the grill, a problem I have never had with my silverstone non-stick finish.) Customer service was very helpful, however, and the "wrong" grill was picked up and replaced with the correct one, all free of charge.

We have owned this same model for several years and would highly recommend this product to anyone. We did eventually have to replace the temperature/power probe but has stood up very well considering its higher temperature surface and cooking lefse for 2 or 3 hours at a go. It gets regular use for pancakes and grilled cheeze sandwiches and does a great job of both. This is why we purchased two additional grills for Christmas presents for family members as they have always coveted our grill.

I have used my grill for about 12 years and it is the most used cooking tool in our kitchen. I use it for many foods, both Scandinavian and Amercian. I just prepared our breakfast of pancakes and eggs on the grill. We often warm tortillas on the grill - did so this week. I set it at about 450 F and the tortillas heat quickly. I have found that the dome cover is very useful in reducing heat loss. I was on the website today, because I am purchasing a grill for a Norwegian friend.

I thought I was buying a nonstick grill and ended up paying unnecessarily for postage both ways (13/- just for return shipping). They did refund just my purchase price, but I hadn't even opened the box (as the picture on it showed it wasn't a nonstick grill.) I will never buy from them again.

I purchased this grill the other day, used it twice and unfortunately, I will be returning it today.

Day one - Pork Chops - Setting was 8 minutes at 300 degrees - per the instruction manual. The chops took about twice as long to cook than the instruction booklet indicated and seemed to be steamed rather than grilled. Considering the choice of meat, I decided to try it again the next day using hamburgers.

Day two - Hamburgers - The burgers cooked in about 8 minutes at 400 degrees, a rather high temp. than noted in the booklet. Once again, the food was steamed rather than grilled.

Day three - Returning the grill after a thorough cleaning...oh well, back to charcoal.

We recieved this as a wedding present a back in August. This unit was actually diffrent than the one we had on our registry but WOW we love this one. The washable grill plates are really cool and easy to clean. I will say we dont wash them in the dishwasher much. But to remove the plates and take them to sink to clean is super convienent vs. hauling the whole unit to the sink and trying not to get it too wet or cleaning it on the counter with a washcloth or papertowels. I HIGHly recommend getting the removeable plates. They sell replacement plates online which is great. My previous Foremans would always wear the nonsticks first but this unit you can replace them.

Keep the reciept on it as well. I have had 0 electrical problems with any of mine but I have read some have. The quality of this foreman is VERY GOOD except the buttons feel a little cheapish (but better than most)some of the lesser models are not so well built.

We received this as a gift less than a year ago. After using it several times a week for the first couple of months that we had it, it began taking longer and longer for food to cook on it. By the end of the year, meat didn't brown; instead, it more or less "simmered" until the juices were gone and the meat was dry and tough. Boneless chicken breasts bubbled in their own juices, but they clearly didn't cook. The first part of this year, the temperature and timer adjustments quit--they were working fine one night and then didn't work the next night. So, we went from loving our grill to being very disappointed with it in a matter of months. Luckily, I had enough information on it to prove that the 1-year warranty was still in effect, and once the manufacturer reviewed our problem, we immediately received a UPS pickup tag so we could return the grill. A new one is on the way as I write this. As I said, we absolutely loved the grill--it's so easy to cook a variety of things on, and the removable grill plates made clean-up a breeze. I did put them into the dishwasher, as the manufacturer suggests, which made clean-up even easier. Can't wait to get the replacement! I'll give it a review after I've used it for a while.

I got this based on the fact that you can put the grill plates in the dishwasher, HOWEVER, beware, they oxidize in the dishwasher. Meaning the back of the cooking plates, turn blak and wipe off on your towels, hands, ect. I called the manufactor and said this is normal, and i shouldnt wash them in the dishwaher very often. So much for convience!

Other than that problem, it cooks awesome! I loved the temp control and timer. Great Features!! Plus it held 6 burgers!

I would buy this again, but would never put it my dishwasher.

I will always wash by hand.

we bought this griddle to replace another one we have just used up. The old one kept burning our food, so it was time to replace it. So far, this one is working greatly, cooking everything evenly and quickly. We are very careful not to use metal utensils on it to ensure not scratching the surface. I read reviews for practically ever grill on Amazon and after careful consideration I chose this grill. I was seriously disappointed and gave the grill away after 5 uses.

1) My biggest frustration was with the way it cooked. The burgers literally only browned on 1 side! Also they came out not very juicy or succulent even though I experimented with several different cooking times. I had a George Foreman grill in the past and burgers cooked on that grill came out much much better.

2) I found this really unwieldy to manage / clean. I knew the panels didn't come out but on a grill this large, that is a big problem.

I'm confused by all the great reviews. I had a George Foreman super basic model before and that was much better. I'm going to order that again.

This item looks great and cooks great. With fixed grill plates it isn't the easiest to clean and it is quite expensive when you realize that it has no fancy controls, timers, indicator lights, etc. You can probably get the same functionality for a lot less money if you don't care about industrial design.

This contact grill-panini grill is great! We moved into a 3rd floor condo without a place for outside cooking but since we bought this grill I can't say we miss it. This grill heats up extremely well, something my several George Foreman grills didn't do. We like it for steaks and hamburgers, my husband says the ones I do are as good as he did on the grill. It is also very fast; we grill thin steaks in 2-3 minutes; it took 10 minutes on our gas grill. We also like it for grilled sandwiches like Reubens; the bread comes out crisp and the center is completely heated through. We like the temperature choices. It doesn't have removeable plates - nothing to break! They wash off easily; I put wet paper towels in it and let it sit while we eat. I would recommend it to anyone - look for it in the warehouse stores as well.

I actually purchased this grill on one of the shopping networks. I was sceptical due to it's low price. When I received it I was surprised at how nice it really was. "Geroge Foreman Oven does not heat up" 2009-09-25

The first time I used the oven it worked fine. the second time it stopped heating midway through cooking. Now it does not heat up at all. Has anyone else had this problem?

I was on the market for a little conventional oven, and they all were about $50.00. Also I have one of the little personal George Foreman grill and was in love with it. Once I thought the two items combine decided to buy them and I could have not done a better buy. Love it and recommended if you are in the market for any of the two items.

I bought this for the toaster oven and had been through a lot of duds. I like the oven but you need to watch it when toasting. It can toast a little dark if not careful. But overall it's big enough for almost anything and works great. I have yet to use the George Forman grill. But now that it's getting colder here in the NE, I will be using it more and more.

I purchased this combo set because it was on sale -$40 shipped. I actually thought it might have been a price mistake so I ordered it very quickly without looking at the specs very thoroughly.

It turned out to be exactly the same grill that I already owned. I though it was one of the newer versions with a better lid and a temperature control. It wasn't, but that's fine because an ex-girlfriend was still disputing ownership of the original one so I gave her the new one.

My experience with the grill has been great over the years. I use it for things that I probably shouldn't because it's so easy to make decent food in it. Without an adjustable lid it tends to squeeze foods more than I'd like, but in general everything comes out juicy and flavorful. One needs to be careful with the timing. One minute in the thing, even after you've pulled the cord out, can be the difference between uncooked and overcooked. You just need to develop a sense for it.

I feel like the over-squeezing is somewhat offset by the fact that you don't have to flip, or move food around, as you would on a regular grill.

The toaster oven is fantastic for the price. It is quite large and has 4 heating elements. There is a hemispherical protuberance that bulges out the back which is how one would fit a medium pizza in there as advertised.

I received this grill as a RE-gift from someone who doesn't know how to cook anything besides biscuits and gravy. An indoor grill wasn't something this person would even know what to do with.

And what a lucky break for me! I have used it to cook EVERYTHING! I have grilled ocean scallops to perfection. They were tender and perfectly carmelized on the top and bottom. I have made marinated shish-ke-bob using filet mignon, and they came out better than any steak I have ever cooked. Tender, juicy and cooked just the way we like them (medium-rare). I have grilled chicken breast. Magnifique! I have grilled vegetables: onions, zucchini, mushrooms, and even butternut squash slices! I even grilled plums, which I later topped with blue cheese crumbles for a special dinner we had.

I have also made an assortment of terrific panninis with it as well--perfect grill marks, perfect crunch to the bread, perfect ooze to any cheese on the bread. Everytime, things come out perfectly. My husband raves about any dish that I serve that is made on this grill. And things seem to cook in half the time, which is a good thing, since we're a couple of hungry hounds at meal time.

I want to buy a bigger one! I read the poor reviews, and I feel badly for the folks not enjoying the same luck with it, and the same delicious meals we have had.

I will admit that I come from a restaurant family, and I have had some experience cooking. I'd like to share that I do frequently spray the top and bottom grills with PAM, and I do watch and check my meats and vegetables carefully. I don't rely on the timing guide provided with the instruction book. (If you are nervous about cooking meats, then invest in a good thermometer, 'til you get the hang of it).

I also frequently (though not always) turn the items to get grill marks on both sides to my satisfaction. The biggest trick to getting things to cook evenly is portion size. By that I mean, you have to have good knife skills, and be careful to cut your vegetables or meats in even thicknesses. About 1/2 inch thick works well. Sometimes, if you have a lot of items on the grill, the items on the lower part of the grill don't cook as fast as the items near the top, because the top items make more contact with the upper grill and keep it off the lower items. Still,you can move food up once the upper food is cooked and moved onto a plate and still get things done nicely and quickly. The point here is to cook grilled food with the fat melted off.

I think that, today, we are all rushed in our lives, and we often don't have time to learn the finer points of cooking. (Do young girls even get taught home economics anymore?) Too many of us have succumbed to the convenience of the microwave and prepackaged, prepared food-in-a- bag-or-box-or-on-a-little-plastic-tray. Some folks may be afraid of cooking and expect to be able to read two pages in the manual, plop something on the grill and VOILA! that's all there's to it--the grill does all the rest. That's not the way of a good cook, however. Good food takes a careful eye and a little practice. (But, hey!, practice is the fun part, and really, it's not that hard).

Clean up is okay. I'd rather clean this grill with a little scrubbing with warm, wet sponges and dry paper towels, than wash a sink full of pots and pans. That's just my preference.

The good news is my husband and I both lost 10 lbs by changing our eating habits after getting this grill. Healthy, delicious food is now "de rigeur" at our home. Grillin' low fat is the way to go, folks. It's been a real blessing for us.

I first saw this product advertised in a TV infomercial but did not buy it right away. While on a trip to visit my uncle, I used a George Foreman Grill and found it to be an excellent product. So, in May, 2001 I bought the model GR10ABW. My ONLY complaint is an issue that Salton has addressed, and that issue was that the grill plates were difficult to clean. Salton has since come up with removable grill plates, which I think are a great idea.

Getting back to the GR10ABW, I appreciate that it cooks on both sides at once, shaving several minutes off the cooking time for almost anything you can grill on it. If you cook a hamburger that is less than a 1/4 pound, I don't recommend leaving it on for more than 7 minutes unless you want your burger well done. 51/2 minutes is usually enough for me.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone, especially if the model they pick has removable grill plates. This grill was a good investment.

This is a good grill 1-2 people. I used it in my college years, however once I got married and started really cooking, I found that I needed a bigger one and preferred one with removable plates. The grill plate on this is not removable so clean-up stinks. Also, the latch on my bun warmer broke so when I lift up the lid, the bun warmer lid falls open. The bun warmer is a neat idea, but I wish it was 'tortilla' size since I make fajitas more often than burgers with it. Also, great for hot dogs!

One of only two products I've ever purchased as a result of an infomercial (the other being the 'Bullet Blender', which is awesome). It's great for burgers. I've also used it took cook sliced carotts. If you're not big on cooking at home, this is a great product.
